It’s tick-borne season again, North America. As the weather warms and people move out, the chances of meeting one of the blood-sucking arthropods increase. In fact, tick problems today seem worse than they did 50-60 years ago, experts told Live Science.

This requires caution; Ticks cause at least 50,000 illnesses each year in the United States, and these are the only reports from the Centers for Diagnosis and Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
