The Chemcaster REST API - Resources

The Chemcaster API is composed of a set of linked resources as shown in the clickable image map above. Each resource has a representation expressed as a media type. The complete list of API-addressable resources is:

• Service: The top-level administrative interface to a Chemcaster account.
• Registry: A collection of chemical Substances and resources for managing them.
• Registration: The act of registering a chemical Substance.
• Substance: A chemical substance consisting of one or more Components, each associated with one Structure.
• Structure: A chemical structure.
• Component: A component of a chemical substance.
• Query: A structure-based query.
• Execution: The execution of an executable resource such as a Query.
• Image: An image dynamically generated from an imageable resource such as a Structure, Substance, or Query.
• Archive: A downloadable snapshot of the current state of a Registry and its subordinate resources.
• Log: The set of changes made to a Registry, and all of its Registrations, Queries, and Archives within a given time interval.
